Someone leaked the rest of Season 4 of The Wire to the Internet.
If you have a high speed Internet connection, an understanding of video codecs/BitTorrent and a dubious sense of morality I highly recommend you download that shit ASAP.
I personally couldn't wait the 6 weeks it would have taken the show to finish normally on HBO.
Y'all know how I love this shit.
The truly great thing about The Wire is the way it turns preconceived or misunderstood notions on its head.
Peep this scene from Season 2 or 3, where gay stick-up kid Omar Little testifies in court and makes the lawyer look lower than the drug dealers he defends,
I gotta come back on this season after it finishes. It deserves a proper write up. The shit touches on No Child Left Behind, the Stop Snitching campaign, fake rape cases (Duke?), child welfare and a bunch of other shit that makes it the most relevant look at what blacks went/go through since Roots.
Having seen it all I can say without a doubt, that The Wire is the best show of 2006 and maybe one of the best if not most important television shows of all time.
It's that serious.
And for me to choose The Wire as the top show of 2006 over The Shield is like choosing between Beyonce and Christina Milian.
A man shouldn't have to choose.
Mysterious Wire leaker, for bestowing the blessing of unaired Wire episodes upon me, you are the Snitch of the Week.
