Snitch of the Year: 2005

I spend an unhealthy amount of time reading newspapers and no one else exposed (or accidentally created) as much sheisty shit as the NY Times this year.

From their revelation of the

• Bush administration's warrantless wiretaps
  
• Judith Miller scandal exposing Dick Cheney's boytoy Scooter Libby
• The NYPD's covert surveillance of protesters
  
• Their in-depth investigation into child Webcam porn world
• To the CIA use of civilian jets to move detainees to pro-torture countries

It's clear that the Times has been doing its thing. It hasn't been enough to create any drastic changes but it definitely stirred shit up.

A few more 2006 solid dime drops and Year Six may be the last for Bush and crew.
